OK, sorry, I should have said "Most fully comp insurance policies for private individuals include windscreen cover without it affecting your no claims bonus, but you will have an excess of £50-75 to pay"

    I apologise for my mistake.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?
  • So save £150/200 with a windscreen claim and pay an extra £100 plus each year for the next 5 years ?

    Doesn't sound sensible to me.

Sounds to me like you've chose the wrong insurance company. Any chance it was one of those iffy companies with £3000 excesses that appear at the top of compare websites?

I once had to claim twice in one year for windscreens and my policy didn't go up, I quoted it with and without and it didn't make a difference.
