No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries September 2013

I'm on the look out for a good mattifying primer. I bought the MUA one a while back and it doesn't do anything (didn't expect it to really for £2). Has anyone tried the Body Shop matte it skin primer? I know I asked about primers on here before but wondered if anyone had any specific recommendations for matte ones?
I adore the Smashbox photofinish primer so whilst I haven't used the photo matte it primer, I'd say it's worth giving a go. They always seem happy to help at the local boots smashbox counter.
I was having such a 'good life' until this morning. Last night I made my own chicken liver pate (turned out a little more like mousse but it's the first time i've made it in 15 years so can't complain!), set the breadmaker to make ciabatta, set the yoghurt maker to make yoghurt....
And then I went on a rampant consumerist bender :rotfl::rotfl:
There were a number of things I needed/had had my eye on for a long time, but there was also a 'ohhh this is such a bargain' or 'this would look lovely in the house' moments. I am winning as there were no toiletries though, so every (expensive) cloud... :A0 -

after my trip to the USA wondered what others do about deodorant on planes?I took a roll on on the plane only to have it explode in the loo when I took the top off the resulting mess looking like some one had joined the mile high club:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I had a spray in my case(as well as dry shampoo) but DH was horrified when he found out and said I should not take aerosols on a plane as they can explode:eek:so what can I take ?
Loooool, the mile high club comment made me giggle :rotfl:
I hope every is well. I am in some kinda revision hell!
UU:
1. Clarins Multi Active Day Cream 30ml - WMBA, a nice cream but more drawn to the Hydraquench range
2. Original Source Raspberry & Vanilla Milk Shower Creme 250ml - using up some stuff at my parents house, WNBA a bit sickly sweet

Evening,
UU's
PB bath bomb WNBA it was okay
Clynol colour care shampoo 50 ml WNBA it did the job, very good at getting coconut oil out of my hair
L'occitane verbena shower gel 50 ml WNBA it did the job but the scent did not do it for me.
FP body whip in black sands WNBA liked the product and love how moisturising it is but I prefer other scents by the same company.
Lush each peach massage bar WNBA used as bath melt to get rid of it. Not a scent that does much for me.
2 x sandy santa's sugar scrub WNBA I mixed these with a little shower gel to use them up, still have 1 of these left, great for scrubbing feet. I liked the scent but hated the amount of red dye in them.
TA
S&G girligo moisture mist 100ml I used about half of this but absolutely detest the synthetic and overpowering scent of it.0 -
I loved the 'mile high club' comment as well. I remembered it when applying antipersp this morning and had to stifle giggles.
TA. About 1/8 of a 200ml BS Sweet Lemon Body Scrub. I'd put this in my foot-care box, but it seemed to have 'split' from the oil. Tried using a bit during my pedicure, but it was horrible.
Washed it off hastily and used an Avon footscrub instead, which reminds me very much of Aapri.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend, can't believe it's Sunday evening already

Hi, hope everyone had a lovely weekend! And I hope the weather lasts for a bit lol. Rosemary54 I couldn't stop giggling when I read the mile high comment. In fact not only that, but I've taken the roll on out of the hand luggage I've packed for my upcoming travels :P You can get stick deodorants from Dove and I've stuck one of those on the shopping list :P (well I've only got the one in use (Nivea double effect) but that's in a glass bottle and the spare (Vaseline IC) in my stash. One more should make too much difference should it? Oh yeah and I've got my spray one too, but that won't go in the hand luggage :P)
I also have a UU to report - Simple Kind to Eyes soothing eye balm wnba - it was moisturising but nothing a moisturiser couldn't do really. This may however, have something to do with how long I've had it. I have the boots essentials equivalent to try now.
I really do wish my splutterers would get a move on!!
I also have an IN - Aussie Mini shampoo for my travels - it's a refillable bottle too and since it's from the pound shop I'd wind up paying more for an empty bottle of the right size!!0 -
UU
Gillette thermal scrub - WMBA DH didnt complain when using this.
Have managed to list a few items on ebay so will declare once they are sold and paid for.
Have painted my toes with NI St Martins lane a deep autumnal plum shade but have topped it with Dollish Polish Pegasus wings for a bit of sparkle.
A new indie nail polish shop has opened in the UK today all I can say is im glad I dont count polish or I would be in even more trouble than normal! No more buying toiletries0
