  • not enabling (honest!) but if anyone was after it, the Elle beauty box is live on the selfridges website. I nearly caved but for the product I actually am interested in in it (the jurlique) is only £13 on beauty bay! I double checked the prices before buying and I'm glad I did. the delivery takes it to nearly £35 and I think £4 of the value will be the cover price cost of the mag included that I already have from my subscription :o be interesting to see if this one sells out!

I am annoyed that I missed the bumble and bumble in Elle magazine but it's probably a good thing :rotfl: Def going to get the InStyle freebie though.

No INS but I am in need of some shampoo and conditioner. Thinking about trying the Loreal ever range as have seen lots of good reviews of this from beauty bloggers. I also need to get another Effaclar Duo as it is spluttering and a facial sunscreen for my holiday.

Oh dear, I think MrM's convalescence period is having adverse affect on me. As I can't get out to the Trafford Centre as easily I found myself on Sunday sitting watching quite a bit of QVC as it's Beauty Day. Watched some of the WEN Haircare hour and was very impressed by the way all the models looked. I know I'm such a sucker. Anyway did toy with the idea of buying one of the kits but pursuaded myself not to as I have tonnes of haircare sitting in the bathroom.

I have tried the Elastisizer and whilst my hair felt very soft I couldn't say that it felt anything special. Maybe I'm expecting miracles.

Anyway think I may try the WEN after all but will wait until I have used loads of the products I already have unless my hair takes a drastic turn for the worst after I see my hairdresser on Friday.

    Anyone tried WEN?

Also, my Benefit They're Real mascara really needs to be thrown away as it has been open a while and not much left in it really.

I have 2 UUs this week in the form of 2 x mascaras. My BadGal Plum has finished and so has my Clinique High Impact Black. Have a BadGal Brown to replace the Plum and 2 other black mascaras in my stash (one is LE and the other one was a mag freebie that Emma donated to me).
I have an old mascara wand that i use as a lash comb for separating out my lashes once I've put mascara on, works a million times better than my Sephora proper one!

i think it is the wand that makes most of the difference with them, the formulas cant be that much different!

Has anyone seen the Avon mag this time with some kind of weird looking mascara brush in it. I won't be ordering this however I am sadly tempted by the new lip crayons in there.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I have watched loads of QVC over the last few days as was feeling under the weather, was interested in the WEN and desperate to try the Judith Williams range in the TSB, but have stayed strong:j

Watching a craft show on Q atm, the guest presenter is a lady that I met at jewellery making classes when I lived in the south west, she is really lovely, and it is great to see practically all her items selling out, I hope she does well from it as she and her OH are lovely people.

TA some body lotion which was a bit thin and had transferred into a pump dispenser (old and cannot remember what it was), it has separated out.

    UU
15ml PCMC HG, more ready to use.
    Toothpaste - Oral B, WBA

    IN
Colgate Max White toothpaste (chose this particular one to get the Red Nails Inc polish as a freebie:()

Who's that? I'm desperately trying to stop buying new jewellery bits (spent another £25 today) and actually save for some classes!

Hi, I love this Avon mascara, seems to work really well, as good as my expensive lancome one- if you buy it you get a free eye kit too with concealer, make up remover and an eye shadow brush - worth a try for the price :)

Although I met her at jewellery classes, their business in selling, stamps, stencils, inks, glitters etc for card making and scrap booking, so I will not be guilty of tempting your further:rotfl:

The classes were held in Yeovil, Somerset. All my stuff is still stored away since my move almost 2 years ago, I need to finish all my UFO's in knitting and then get the spare room set up so I can get at things. I was as guilty of being tempted by shiny beads and stuff as I was by toiletries and beautiful knitting yarn:o:rotfl:

I have found two very talented designers locally who sometimes hold classes so might save up for some, I sort of stopped because I had painful wrist joints.

Sorry for being off topic ladies:(

Mine were all presents, but you can get them here or on ebay if you search owl lip balms. They're a little sticky, but amazing flavours!

Oh gosh..this website = amazing! I [STRIKE]was[/STRIKE] *am still* a mugoholic, thats my other big hoarding item. When we moved, I listed 80% of my collection on ebay and sold them all in a moment of madness but that website has some AMAZING mugs so I may have to put in a sneaky order, plus everything seems to be 20% off?!....help!! (Plus the owl lipglosses are so cute)

(Edited to say I gave in and ordered one mug and a fridge magnet, did have the owl lip balms in my basket but removed them..! Time to step away from the internet lol!)

  • Lot's of nearly empties hanging around.

Finally finished a Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel. I thought the smell disappeared (the bottle had been in the back of the cupboard for ages) but the husband said the room always smells of grapefruit after I'd used it. I usually don't buy it as my son's give me Body Shop stuff every Christmas!

I managed to give a way five sample pouches of shampoo and conditioner and treatment stuff to my youngest son as he has longer hair than me. He's waiting to go into the Air Force and hasn't cut his hair since the start of his last year of high school. He has beautiful hair below his shoulders and it's full of waves! His recruiter reminds him that he'll lose it whenever they meet up. He plans on giving it to one of the cancer charities like his big brother did.

I somehow managed to pick up tow tubs of treatments for coloured hair. Well, it was a really good sale.

It's actually a Sugar Scrub still in its mould - I haven't tried Jungle Jelly but it sounds fab if it's jungle scented shower jelly (which might be wishful thinking) :P Just noticed I forgot to put the scrub on my stash list, sorry for the confusion! :o

Jungle jelly was lovely. I have just crushed up 2 sandy Santa scrubs and mixed them with a shower gel ready for use.

    UU's
Rub, rub, rub shower scrub WNBA I used to like it but I prefer other more scrubby scrubs if that makes any sense.
EGF bio effect serum 3 ml WNBA purely on price, still have another to use.
Mitchum roll on WBA does the job, reasonably priced and will stock up as running low.
Cotton wool pads WBA on last pack so will need to restock

Another UU for the day is a packet of nose strips, finding these quite good, but leaves my face feeling a little sore for a few mins afterwards!
