That's a new one on me and there's no reference that I can see in any of the tech info I have here. :(

Hi again, the red light is the power On Off button & two other green LED lights keep on flashing. In the manual it says call for technical assistance .Is it worth spending 100 quid for the service or is it better to buy a new one.

    Hi nannu,

Without an indication of where the fault lies it's not really possible to say I'm afraid.

It can fault like that (almost any of them can these days) and be something as stupid as the door not closing properly but, without knowing how to read the fault code it really is an impossible task to make a reasonable evaluation.

We've been trying to get the OFT to look into this as we (the repairers) think that this is a rip off on the part of the manufacturers and we don't think it's fair that you don't know what the fault codes are for your machine that you paid good money for. Instead you are often left with no option but to pay whatever the manufacturer wants to charge. In effect they create a monopoly for themselves and we don't think that's right.

You can read more on it from this link about what we're trying to do about it.

We KNOW that people are throwing away perfectly good machines fro stupid faults, like a sock in the pump or a water valve goosed simply because you don't know what the code means and you assume the worst. But then, if you make white boxes and sell them for a living you're not exactly going to be too sad that people are buying more every year are you?

  • Anyone any idea what the fault code F-02 means on an indesit WIXE127 washing machine?

    Thanks

Should be a motor fault, that is to say, the motor circuit which could mean the motor, armature, carbons, module or wiring would be the primary suspects.
