I have been using one of these for a couple of years and regularly grind whole chickens and rabbits in it, no problem.

I did see that one, but some of the reviews put me off. I'll not discount it totally just yet though, thanks.

    Which reviews Jo?
I use mine most weeks and feed 8 cats with raw, using whole chunked up chickens as my base.....and it has served me very well indeed.
It is also small enough and light enough to be lifted in and out of a wall mounted cupboard for storage.

The 1 star ones on Amazon and also elsewhere on net (don't ask me to find them again I had millions of pages ope at one point).

I quite fancy a 'LEM' one but again it's American.

I have friends that have tried DIYing but gave in when they burnt out two motors, not sure what kit they were using though :(

I now have two being raw fed and have been investigating other suppliers to NI as the older one doesn't like it at all. He much prefers Wolftucker though :T Both mine will eat bones so I can feed them minces for one meal and chicken wings/necks etc for the next.

I have been looking at Manifold Valley Meats as they do bone in and boneless minces. Are you on FB? There is a great BARF group on there with lots of helpful advice.

    .

I know what you mean about too many pages open!
I just had a look at the Amazon reviews.....and most of the negative comments were about poor packaging from Amazon deliveries, or the fact that mince was quite sludgy. Well, I have never made mince for my own consumption so that is not relevant to me.
