Thanks Aesop for running this thread. Think it is really going to help me get motivated to start making a bit more money.

  • I'm adding £8.89 in nectar points which have been added to my account since last week, am going to keep a weekly tally now as I lose track, I think I have been waiting until I physically take them off my shopping but seeing the weekly total rise is more of a positive thing I think.

These are points from adpoints, a nectar credit card (which is worth it for me but I know isn't for everyone and I wouldn't recommend it in a million years if you are already stressed because of debt xx) plus nectar search and canvas and buying some school uniform through e-shops.

I'm also counting £10 that my daughter has given me towards her school shoes, I would have bought them anyway but she knows times aren't as good as they could be and she wanted to contribute.

All a bit complicated but the upshot is I'm adding a few quid x

Hi all, please may I join for September? Sorry I'm a bit late to the party! I used to do this challenge regularly when I was clearing my original debt and now I have some post-wedding/honeymoon cards to clear so need to knuckle down again. Everything I make on this challenge will go straight off the CC.

To start me off, I have received £20 as a belated wedding present which I have just transferred off the debt. Booked a couple of MS for this week and have some cleaning lined up for extra pennies, so am going for £10 a day please. Thanks for having me :)
