  • yay well done Aesop for paying off the catalogue :j

Thanks for all the advice on ebay and the new postage charges :( why oh why... my husband reckons it is so we all offer free postage...then they can get us on more of the final value charges as they will be higher... it all sucks and the only ones getting rich seem to be mr ebay and mr paypal... I would like to know if they plan on packaging my items and driving them the 18 miles to the post office for me then posting them (and for all this I always lose money as apparently £4.10 p&p is steep according to ebuyers...actual costs to post a parcel = £4.10 parcel, £0.90 packaging, £5.20 deisel, £1.20 car park charge... so really now ebay want 10% of this too!!! well they can have 10% of a negative amount if they like ;) If I add the listing fees, final value fees and paypal fees then every 99p listing that sells actually puts me into more debt by actually costing £11.90 )... and that does not include the electricity to run my laptop or my time! grrr

when I look at it like that I may as well give up and send it all to the charity bags

The only saving grace is that I only post out once a week so I can save a bit on fuel and car parking fees.

Sorry I appear to have got on a rant then :rotfl:

A justified rant by the look of it. Sorry if this is a stupid question but are there any Facebook selling groups you could join? I joined 2 yesterday as I wanted to sell bulkier items on there but it's understandable if people join to avoid eBay charges
Blimmin 'eck scarlet182 thanks for clarifying that, I was being a bit naive in my reckoning there, I do think that's it for 99p listings.
  • Thanks :) I am in a local fb selling page but they seem to just want baby clothes... I did sell a rusty bike though just to save me driving it to the tip :) tee hee a nice £5 extra xxx

I am in again, smashed it for July and August! Still sticking to the £10 per day but realistically will be on at least £30 a day this month as waiting for around £630 of payments from somewhere :) Woohoo! Won't count them until they are here though :)

Currently on £146.76 this month and corrected a slight mistake to last months total.

Some of you msy have received an email saying free listing this weekend but it is only for those who have received it.
  • Today a very well timed '£5 off your next haircut' voucher arrived by email as I had an appointment this afternoon! I have also used a £2.38 price promise voucher at Mr T's and found £2.10 roadkill.

DS1 is currently leading the Little Heroes competition!! It ends on Friday and I'm desperate to keep him there. For any newbies to this month's thread, DS1 is 8 years old and found his Dad having a seizure on the kitchen floor. He called 999, telling them everything they needed to know, and then looked after his baby brother until the paramedics and I arrived. I'm so proud of him. If he wins he gets a family holiday! If anyone fancies voting the link is
