Just been paid for an item that sold for 99p on eBay. By my reckoning my 'profit' is less than 30p after PayPal and eBay fees taken off. This will be worse after the changes coming in tomorrow where they also charge a percentage of the postage, won't it? Oh well, you live and learn.
Maybe I'm wrong -- it's late
I dropped my float in the car on the way to car boot on Sunday and only counted money I could pick up quickly to help work out what I made, now I keep discovering little bits of loose change so that's making me smile for some strange reason -- and giving me tiny bits and bobs to add.
My children have insisted they want a job and I have found them some work today, on the one hand I worry that aged 14 they have enough to contend with, such an important year for them, but on the other I suppose I have to be pleased with their work ethic. It will only be an hour at the weekend so that has to be okay. . .
Bought a washing machine today, it said it was reduced by £150, don't think I'll count thatI will count the cashback though when it comes through.

MrsCautious - just want to say, I think your kids are amazing. :T :A
You are obviously a very good role model for them. They offer you money towards things they need as they know you can't afford it, they want to work, to help earn their own money to take the pressure off you....:A
I think I need parenting lessons from you.0 -
Oh bless you what a lovely thing to say Aesop. I'm biased but I do think they're amazing, to have lost their dad at the age they have and get on as they are, this is the thing that helps me a lot xxxx
On the money side, it has been a complete education for them (and me) -- we are blessed in lots of ways and are coping with a blip, knowing that keeps us all focused I think.
Lots of love to you xx0 -
Last night we went out for a meal as the parents in law are moving to France, I managed to find a 20% off voucher and use that but the service turned out to be useless and we complained. This meant we got starters free, a round of drinks and 20% off the total menu (and I'll be writing a letter as well!)
I'm banking this as a saving of £30.47 (bill was split 50/50). food was great though!
I have also cancelled my Love Film subscription which was £9.99 per month
£40.46 so far
Plans for the rest for the week:
Selling my parents in law car, although money from that will go towards 30th birthday/ wedding plans.
Getting in the cupboards and wardrobes to get out stuff I don't need/want
Setting up websites that I own and trying to generate some ad revenue
Looking into moving one of my accounts to Halifax for £100 and £5 per monthTarget to be debt free: Dec 2015 (33 and debt free)

Crazy Clothes challenge £300/£48 and 5 months /0 without spending :T0 -
Thanks scotdebs, I never thought of using the money from the price guarantee. I just did a price check and got a voucher for £1.77. Also checked my account and already had 63p. I would have spent £9 on delivery for the rest of the month but I have bought the £5 monthly delivery pass saving me £4. So that's a total of £6.40 for me today.0
