Oooooh Butterfly Brain we're going to Mevagissey in four week's time, I can't wait :j I love love love it. I was there on Bella Mae's opening day, they gave me a 15% discount card with no expiry date, hope they're well stocked :D Will head to the Harbour Tavern for a little drinky as soon as I arrive :D

I have two mirrors in the bathroom, about A4 size. The frames are chipped and tatty and one is beyond repair really, but I want to keep them or maybe copy them. They weren't expensive, they were in a closing-down gift shop when we were on holiday about 10 years ago. I have some old picture frames so I'm going to play around with them and see if I can come up with something half-decent.

I'm painting skirting boards and a door frame today. I keep trying to get things done but someone is always here, getting in my way, lol. I had the house to myself for a few hours yesterday so had time to put shelves and pictures back on the wall. Mr and Miss tru did the shopping then went into town for a couple of things. While they were there they decided to climb the cathedral tower :D Mr tru is working today then tomorrow he's got a stag do - paintballing all day then curry in the evening. Much bliss for me :D

Good morning chums ,what a beautiful day it is in north Kent .Just as well, as youngest DD's just phoned to say her WM door hinge has snapped and the door fell off so I shall be doing the washing for her for a couple of days until the hinge they ordered arrives. As there are six of them I shall be busy :):)Son-in-law has ordered the part, and I don't mind really. It could have been worse at least it only the hinge. Her machine is on at least twice a day 7 days a week at times and a machine normally lasts her around three years.
Mine goes on perhaps twice a week in the summer ,less in the winter :):)
Oh well thats what families are for to help each other out, and she's a good lass to me
Right I'd better get a move on and sort out whats to be done today i have done no housework for a week as I have been looking after my grandsons so a bit of hoovering and tidying up is required I think
Take care all and what ever you are doing enjoy your selves if possible .
Cheers chums JackieO xxx

Hi all,

Thanks god its the weekend....

Had a weird return to work, although I love my job, I have had enough of the company and their politics, have applied for volentary redundancy, its upto our boss to decide who goes, so its a waiting game now.....

Was up bright and early, off to Mr L and Mr S to stock up after pay day, freezer full of HP turkey steak and YS minced beef. Spent £89 between the 2, but have loads of meat for the month, so hopefully will just need fresh stuff though the month. Did have to buy lunchbox stuff as DD and DS2 go back to college/school this week.

Also bought a combi oven which was HP at Mr S, i,m hoping that I save save a few pennies by not using main oven (which is huge) so much, annoying to have to heat it up just to cook something for OH and I.

Off to get some more washing out on the line, and tackle Mount Ironmore, got to take MIL shopping later, she didn,t fancy coming at 7 am LOL

Have a fab day all x

Morning all!
Note to self, do not drink red wine when full of the cold, hormonal and super emotional, my head is thumping!!!!!
Well, I survived yesterday in a sea of tears and hankies, onwards and upwards now! No OS has happened this week, but today DD is off on holiday and her bedroom floor will be utilised in the great empty Jools' bedroom of carp game, need to get it done to get the new room planned, as I am off on holiday 3 weeks tomorrow and then will be going back to work! First thing on todays agenda mind you is trying to decongest my sinuses!!!
Have a good day all

• Sounds lovely BargainB, Mevagissy is lovely too Butter'b.
Islandmaid, 7am is the only time to shop, after that it's too busy.
Well I decided that as I feel a bit better I'd get dressed as I've been slobbing around in a nighty for the last 6 weeks, not the same nighty, I have 4 that are washed and worn in rotation. Anyway, went upstairs for a wash & brush up, decided to wear a skirt and tshirt as I only have one dress. got tshirt on, pulled up skirt, zipped it up, straightened up, skirt fell to the floor! Scrap that idea, put on dress, note to self, need to visit charity shops to buy more dresses before return to work. I have very few dresses as I'm short waisted and tend to look like a sack of spuds tied up ugly in them, so it could be a challenge finding something to wear. I suppose I could buy braces to keep my skirts up and start a whole new fashion.
Hugs Hester

Thanks for the welcome back :)
tru Mevagissy is one of our favourite places as well it is so beautiful. I want to take DH to Scotland next year because he has never been, I know that he will love it just for the scenery and he will sit and paint to his hearts content. We will not drive up we will fly, it is much cheaper than the train which would involve getting a mortgage the prices are so high  honestly how these train companies operate and the prices that they charge I am surprised that they are still in business.
2 loads of washing left to do and put on the line then there will be nearly a weeks worth of ironing this evening animated-smileys-housekeeping-005.gif. DD has said that she will do it for me bless her, she knows how difficult it is for me now.

We are of to see if we can get a few more blackberries in a little while, before they are finished.

tru we have had about 80lbs of fruit and veg this year and my runner beans, courgettes and spinach are still going strong. Not bad considering I didn't think that I planted enough.
I have three baby pumpkins now and the same number of butternut squash. I need to put the second lot of kale in and some potatoes and I think that I will get some more cabbage in as well.

Molly I hope that all goes well at the hossy ((((Hugs))))
Nice to see you halight we were missing you x x

Right best be off DH has just got the big scooter out for me.

BFN x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

• Hi all,
Had a busy day yesterday. I had to move to another part of my floor at work to give manager support to the staff down there. Quite enjoyed being tucked away in a corner since I had loads to catch up on. Ended up staying for an extra hour and 15 min, and even then brought work home. I was up til after 10 last night doing my work, but I'm glad it's done now.
Need to go to Aldi and Asda today for the big shop, go online and pay all my bills, get the washing up done and I hope to do a bit of gardening too. The lawns need mowing and then I want to put lawn treatment down during the week to get rid of the weeds.
Need some more dishwasher tabs, and I've seen the offer on Finish Quantum tabs in Costco - 2 bags of 40 for £11.86, but the offer doesn't start until Monday and we need tabs today! Has anyone tried the Asda own brand citrus burst all in 1 tabs? Only £5 for a pack of 45...

Need to save money as much as possible during September - need to save for Christmas and our trips away!!
Hope you all have a good day! :-)
the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j
