go to your MP and do not move until they agree to help, or go to your jobcentre they can do an emergency call for you to sort this out, mine at first directed me to the phone but I told them that gets me nowhere, so he told me they could give in emergency help, they took me upstairs and sorted everything out there and then, you just need to get them to admit they can do more then tell you to phone, they don't like helping as they are busy but make them listen, also get a letter from them for a food bank.

Good luck, remember this come voting day and vote for the nice party not the nasty tory party.

    Hey op,

if you don't mind me asking, why did you get dismissed from your job? to be honest, looking at your post you have bought all this on yourself. I am sorry but that is my opinion because its been stated last year that if you leave your job due to your own misconduct then you can claim JSA but you will get sanctioned for how long depends on your misconduct.

are you for real, is this the same guy who gets up set because he was told not to wear a t shirt to interviews, telling someone with no money, living in a hostel that it's his own fault!, you don't even know why he was dismissed so how you can say he brought all this onto himself beats me, his landlord asked him to leave, the dole messed him about for weeks, why is that his fault, you should be ashamed of yourself, kicking someone when they are at such a low point.

Firstly, my claim has NOT been sanctioned my payments have been suspended pending proof of address. Maybe if you bothered to read anything you would know that. Hell, it says SUSPENDED in the title!

Secondly, My reason for dismissal was due to time and attendance as I had and still do suffer from depression which at the moment is getting a lot worse. I attempted to fight the decision of dismissal but frankly for such a major company with 58000 employees globally they didn't give a rats !!! about my mental health and in all honesty it was working in that place that made me depressed in the first place. This is also why I asked about claiming ESA but I don't want to put another spanner in the works with a change of circumstances yet again.

Thank you, but I am a she.

I posted on here in hopes for some advice as to what I can do to help but current circumstances. Not to get shot down and accused of bringing this on myself.

They say it only get's better. F@ck that. Things are only getting worse. In all honesty I am so upset and depressed I can barely get out of bed. All I do is sit around crying. I have had a constant migraine for the last week. And I have even resorted back to self harming. I am miserable beyond a doubt. I have gone to my GP but they are useless so am in search of a new GP but until I can get a HC2 Certificate or some money I cannot afford to pay the £7.85 for a prescription for the medication I need.

I have sent an email to my MP. Will also try send a letter if I can find someone to lend me a stamp. He also has a Advice Desk on the 13th and 14th of September so If I still have received nothing by then (and hopefully I will have received something) I could always go down there and demand to be heard in person.

I will be going straight into the JCP at 9am Monday morning to phone them up again and if nothing results of that I will go straight down to the CAB. JCP will most likely tell me to call back in an hour so I will probably be back after being to the CAB and will hound the people at the welcome desk and nag them until they help me.

Good Luck on Monday OP. Do not leave the job center until you get something resolved and speak to the advisers there, not the phone. Don't get nasty with them, that won't help but be firm, polite and make sure they have sorted something before you leave. I suggest you write everything down that has happened (or take a print out of your first post) so you can refer to it or give them a copy. This way you will not get flustered and confused when asked the questions. I suffer from depression myself and can't image how awful it must be to be in your situation.

I also suggest if you feel able tell them that you suffer from depression. I was trying to sort an issue out with them one day, they were being very obstructive, and I told them that they were not helping my condition, in fact all the stress of it was making me worse (I had a doctors note with me to prove this). I have never seen someones attitude change so much they were so nice to me after that, kept asking why I didn't say anything before (well I don't like to - I like to try to manage and cope).

However on my next signing on day (19/07013) my advisor noticed a suspension had been put on my payment as a letter had been returned from my previous address. (I still don't know when that letter was actually dated for).

OP, I'm confused at the above. What was that letter about, did you ever find out? Clearly they wrote to you about something that was nothing to do with your change of address. Are you sure you have been suspended because of not giving proof of address?

Are you sure you haven't been suspended because you were dismissed from work and they did think your circumstances were exceptional and that's what the original letter was informing you of?

I hope you don't mean Labour as they won't reverse one single thing the Tories have done.
    It's someone else's fault.

Well I'll be voting UKIP but that's beside the point, no I didn't mean labour but I think they are much better than these we have now, with no money yes you are right they will not reverse anything...straight away but they are unlikely to make things worse and will change things when they can.

So to answer your question, ANY party is the nice party compared to the Tories.

OP sorry about the sex change I gave you.

Emaling your MP is just as good a sa letter so don't think you have to send a letter to be heard but you have to include your full name and full address in the email or your MP can not reply to you, they need to make sure you live in their consistency, so if you haven't done that, just resend your email with those details added.

A visit to them will probably get you more help tho.

If I was you I would think about applyng for ESA as soon as possible, or at least as soon as you get your first payment form JSA. Go to your doctors to see if they will support a claim for ESA as you will need a sick note from them, no use apply for ESA without that.

I do not know what the letter was about but I do know that between making my initial claim and changing my address I never received a single letter from DWP. (I should also state that this is not the first time I have not received expected mail and can only assume that someone has been tampering with my mail, which is against the law but I have no proof) When I changed my address I received several letters from the DWP stating change in circumstances and that I would receive £56.80 a week and one changing the time of my advisor appointment. There was never any mention about any suspensions or sanctions due to my dismissal from work.

When my advisor looked at my file the first time (19/07/13) it said: Payment Suspended Letter Returned. When I initially called about this they said payment was suspended because a letter was returned. All reference to the reason of the suspension is because a letter was returned and payment is suspended pending proof or address. I am frustrated as no one can give me any more information on this letter that was returned. My advisor is useless and just tells me to phone them (he is also out of the office for the next month - holiday and some course thing. This is his 3rd holiday since I first signed on.)

Don't worry about the sex change. It's quite hard to gauge a gender based on some obscure username.

I emailed my MP listing my full name, address and email address at the bottom. I would have left a contact number as well but at this time I do not have one. I am sincerely hoping I will receive payment before his next advise desk as I truly cannot wait a further 2 weeks. As of Wednesday I will be owed 8 weeks worth of JSA.

I am hopefully going to apply for ESA when I finally get a payment as with everything else going on a change in claim is likely just going to give them another excuse to hold off payment for even longer. I do want to change my doctors as my current doctors is useless and very unhelpful and uncaring. At the moment I just feel like no one wants to offer me any help or support and I am doing everything I can. I just want to scream right now.
