just wondering, is there a way i can use more of my connection, online speed tests say i can download at up to 24MB, but when i torrent download the most i get is like 2.8MB, i have a mac, any ideas how i can up this?

    You do not have a 24 MB connection.. You have 24 Mb.
    MB = Megabyte
    Mb = Megabit

    There are 8 Mb to a MB... so you are downloading at around 22Mb of your 24Mb connection.

    A common misconseption and one internet companies like to pray on.

    I have an 8Mb connection... Thus my DL speed is max 1MB


    Edit: Why get a mac? For £1000 mac you can get the same specs as a £550windows(with dedicated graphics card!) Unless you need it for video or music tediting then fair enough.
