What tricks do cpw get up to?

I have been using mobileshop for my contracts over the last 2 years but after the no good they have got up to I'm going to dump them this time round. I have decided to go with cpw this year, not because they have the best reputation but simply because they are the biggest retailor around and have a high street presence. I do not trust any of the cashback schemes but am willing to risk it due to the potential savings.
I would like to know what are the potential traps and pitfalls with cpw's cashback process? E.G. I already know cpw stop paper billing as soon as you check for bills online from a question I asked earlier but is there anything else I should be wary of?

Get some back up of what they offer, I had a right game proving what I said they offered me verbally was the truth.
Of course when I had to ring CS they had no record of such offer.
Weeks and weeks of letters/emails/phone calls to try to sort it.
Managed to in the end but what a pain.
    Beware!!!

Many people here say CPW are the least bad of a bad bunch.

For me they changed the goalposts, the shop said claim 70 pounds after 4 months and 70 pounds after 8 months; but when I made the first claim the cashback team said no actually it is 46.66 after 4, 8 and 12 months. The same total cashback but still annoying.

I've already posted about my experience with CW's cashback (via e2save..same thing). Just spoke to my sister yesterday about her mobile cashback with CW. Turns out one of CW's staff gave conflicting information about which date invoices to send back, compared to the original information given to her. Now this could all just be a mistake but it seems to be happening a lot.

Just stick to the original information given to you in writing by CW, don't listen to what staff tell you and also avoid working via the CW invoice numbers because they can also be misleading.
Send your stuff recorded delivery and you should be cool, fingers crossed.

I'm going to order from the online site so I won't be getting any deals from cpw store staff. What ever I sign up for will be there for all to see and I'm going to printscreen everything. Hopefully that will provide all the back up I need. I suppose that this will mean I won't be be able to squeeze anything extra out of them but at least they won't be able to squirm out of an argument.

good advice, dont listen to what they tell you work it out from the t+c's up to a point which is expected of you cos at least then when u sue you have solid evidence as opposed to "she told me to send this bill.." which they wont recall. Iv had bad experiences with e2save having thought them to be most reliable but after alot of work got money back. Another problem, if your phone breaks you take it to your local cpw shop which sounds good, but they are really slow/bad at repairing and made me get it fixed privately at a cost to me.

id be tempted to try dialaphone.

Never really considered dialaphone seeing as they have so many horror stories but then again so do all the others. They are not as big as cpw but if they have better deals then maybe I should start another thread....what tricks do dialaphone get up to?

Is anyone reading what he said?? Only advice about CPW itself is required not of E2save! E2save is supposed to be a direct competition for Phones4U, CNM etc. it's obvious they will have shady deals like the others. Please do not get mixed up with CPW and their daughter companies.

CPW on the whole are very good. With m recent upgrade even though it is via redemption they said I can send the bills in whenever I want no time limit!!!!!!!!!

TWO seperate CS representatives said the same thing to me. Plus remember this is an UPGRADE not a new contract so they are more flexible.

Obviously thats not what I'm going to do - but thats what they said.

    Hi,
    Dialaphone:
I bought a mobile from them.
They needed a bit of 'reminding' at first, but paid up.
