Wanted to post this in case anyone else finds themselves in same situation.
Last week I parked in the car park next to Aldi's store in Lichfield Staffordshire. We shopped at Aldi and then went on to do some other shopping and later returned to Aldi for one final visit and drove off. Today we got a letter (as yet unseen by myself) from Parkingeye asking for £40 now or £70 later as our car was left in the car park beyond the permitted time. I was unaware there was a time allowed for parking - but no matter.
I called Aldi in Lichfield, was transferred to their HQ and spoke to Laura in "Parking". She told me as long as I can send them proof of purchase, she will arrange for the "parking demand" to be withdrawn.
The email address for their customer services is customer.service@aldi.co.uk
There is a lot about Parkingeye on the web (none of it good), so hope this helps anyone else who finds themselves in a similar situation.0
