Parking Eye Fines

Hi, i have been parking in Leeds on Aire Street for 3 years now and have never been fined by PE, however i have today received 2 letters / fines, maybe they have changed their parking fees or they are trying to scam me.
The first is a reminder of a fine, of which i have never received the initial letter and the second is the first letter.
What should i do, i read on alot of forums that the best advice is to ignore these, however im slightly worried that during the next 12 months i may receive court papers.
Any advice is appreciated.
Many Thanks
Jamie

Parking Eye have lately been very aggressive so you need to appeal to Parking Eye. They'll reject your appeal and send you a POPLA code which you then use to appeal to POPLA. When was the charge issued? (it's not a fine---courts issue fines PPC's do not):footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

I hope there aggresivenes is there last ditch attempt to stay solvent before they go bankrupt. Lol
The best way to do our bit is to not follow your signature's advice by ignoring a ticket. The best way is to challenge them at POPLA (which costs them nearly £30 a time). This is also the best way to quash a PCN, alongside appealing directly to the retailer.0 -

Agreed. Unless in Scotland, that is dangerous, outdated and I'll-informed advice.

Good luck Smithy. Remember, don't miss the soft appeal deadline to Parking Eye as they are one PPC who are issuing Court papers and allegedly taking people all the way through Small Claims.
Remember to never name the driver in your appeal to PE and talk of them as though they are a third person. Do clearly state an appeal (like the signage was not sufficient, or I consider that you do not have authority to issue charges on this site), required the charge to be cancelled or a POPLA code provided for independent review if not.
BTW this is not a fine. Only Police and Council appointed traffic wardens can issue those. PE are neither. It's a speculative invoice issued over a claimed breach of contract between the driver and themselves.Search my post " PoPLA evidence - What to submit" on what is a good defense for a PoPLA appeal.0 -
my claim was rejected by parking eye, so i have now approached POPLA. i have also taken a picture of the main entrance which still states the rate for the full day stay, however the ticket machine has been changed.
Do you think i still have a claim..?0 -

It's not a 'claim' - this isn't an insurance policy!
Do you mean you already sent a POPLA appeal? If so, did it include all the points of appeal in these examples which we would have shown you, had you asked?

If not, if you do not have the basic appeal points mentioned in the linked threads by Guys Dad and Custard Pie, then do another 'additional evidence' letter!
Hopefully you've been on the forum long enough over the past weeks to have read what makes a winning POPLA appeal...or hopefully you haven't submitted it yet...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry, your right its not a claim. Anyway, i covered most points listed in the example and included photographic evidence of the main entrance.
I shall wait to hear from them.0
