Just had to drop all you folks a quick line to ask "what have you done to me LOL????

I have just got back from my first trip to the shops in quite a while....now normally i cant resist cookerybooks - even though i have so many its silly....
Well I this time i have come away with 2 books...and i have to say its down to this site :-)
I have got :-
1001 practical uses for vinegar
1001 more country household hints....were £2.99 each, only when i got back and unpacked..they have only scanned 1...weeeeeeee
i nearl got the 1001 beauty n health tips....which i may get next time...if these turn out to be really good...

just flicking through...did you know you can remove beetroot stains by rubbing it with half a cut pear (apparently).....

and to make coal last longer and burn brighter, sprinkle with a solution made from -2tbs washing soda to 2 pints of water..and let dry....lol

oooooh i can see these books saving me a fortune :-) as well as providing me with plenty of laughs.....

if i come across any i thimk are particularly useful i will post them :-)

TIP 1...:-)

pour half a bottle of vinegar into an empty vinegar bottle....
top up both bottles with cooled boiled water
leave for 24 hours
the vinegar will retain its strength so you get 2 bottles for the price of 1....

now with how much vinegar we all probably use this could be a winning tip...
im off to top up my vinegar..and will report back at this time tomorrow to let you know if it works ...fingers crossed folks.....LOL

Add the juice of half a lemon to a small can of chilled evaporated milk and it can be whipped until stiff...
look you have started me know :-)....
im sure someone will need that tip in an emergency..hehe
