Is my OEM version of Windows 7 genuine?

Hi Nifty. The machine with the DVD burner is XP, slow, and only connected by WiFi. Or I could use one of the "new" Win 7 laptops connected by ethernet, which will be quicker (we have slow BB here). I do also have another legit Win 7 (Pro, 32 bit) laptop if necessary.
Let me know which is best, but expect a delay whatever.0 -
You can use the one with the faster connection and then move it over to the one with the DVD burner using your USB drive.
Get the RAM in post #32, not the earlier link.
Just putting together image burning instructions.0 -

Righto. Will let you know when done.0 -
When the download is complete, burn the resulting .iso file(image) to a DVD using ImgBurn(Download and install. Deselect the option to install the Google ToolBar). You have to Burn Image to Disc, not burn Data disc. Use this as a guide(skip step 2b)
Burn two copies, so that you can run a clean install from Boot on both machines at the same time.
The downloading of the image is the longest part of the job.0 -

Quite so. Looks like being 4.5 hours, so an overnight job. Will do other tasks and get back to you. I am tied up all day tomorrow but will have some time Saturday, so will be in touch then, Many thanks indeed.0 -

Unless you have a printed product key either on the machine or on the sleeve of an actual WIN 7 disc it is not genuine. Did you buy it from a reputable store if so you should ask for a refund as they are selling potentially illegal software etc.The harder one works the luckier one gets!0
