Despite being relatively soothed by AOL, really their call centres incompetence knows no bounds. We got a better router from them a couple of days ago, wrong name, wrong address, well done knowledgeable Post Man. Billing has now been entirely screwed up, wrong name, wrong sex, adjustments to account repeated and confirmed, simply haven't been done. As I've said before, once it's up and running, it's fine, but the call centres are easily the worst in the world.

I was with o2, now with Tesco and its quick and very cheap
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

I was delighted to move my mobile to Tesco a year and a half ago and still find it great value. Amazed though that, while sub-rural, they don't do BB here.
Have to go, that'll be the stunningly poor AOL with another automated phone message to the wrong person about the non-payment of the bill that's been paid.
  • Zilo are rated the best on ISP review

But they do come at a premium, well worth it if you run any kind of internet business or would pay to have the nuisance of dropped connections stopped

    Thanks all for the input!

I've spoken to Claranet and they've given me a decent deal, just need to find a cheap phoneline now. Looking into primus but the reviews are really bad- can't see if they're providing nothing but the phoneline what would be so awful about the service unless it just stopped working... Reviews don't say that though.

If you go to primus and they put you on their own phoneline (rather than a bt line), then your bb options will be reduced to one! (Primus)
  • Claranet called primus on my behalf and were told that it is a BT phoneline and I would be able to use it with their broadband.
