    That's what I suspected. I was thinking of it as an alternative to Coventry First when my anniversary comes up in August.

    HSBC have done the same with their online saver - 6%
    No longer using this account for new posts from 2013

    You don't need SOs to feed your regular savers. Any regular saver that accepts payment by SO will accept "manual" BACS payments as long as the Sainsbury savings a/c allows you to specify a reference number.

    Just opened one at the weekend. Exactly the same set up as HBOS which is its parent group.

    I'd love to see transfers between sainsburys and HBOS being instant although I doubt they will be.

    Er....not quite. They only guarantee that the rate will exceed the average of 100 equivalent accounts.
