Fastest internet for a flat

Hey,
I'm moving to Brighton soon and living in a top floor flat. My job is internet based and so the fastest upload/download speed is needed. I was with Virgin in my old place, but I wasn't happy with them so thought I'd scout out before deciding.
I don't own a television but will probably have a land line.
Any help? Is fibre-optic available?

Yes fibre is available ,here in Brighton ,I have ordinary broadband with talk talk and get 11.50 mb download and up 1 mg ,I'm told generally for fibre it's generally 39mb or the higher 80 mb.0

Since broadband is exchange specific, start with an exchange search on www.samknows.com for your LLU options.
I am assuming that Brighton has more than one exchange?
We can't tell you whether FTTC is available at the property, as that is cabinet-specific. You need to do a number or postcode check on the relevant site. Just because the exchange has FTTC doesn't mean your local cab does yet.
You can't have either service (ADSL or FTTC) without a landline. No free lunch, and no free laptop
