I've looked up the sort code for the bank details and it's Lloyds TSB in Manchester
WALLINGFORD
2-4 Floor, Cobden House, 12 Mosley Street, M2 3AU, Phone: (161) 2335500,
Manchester
England
This isn't where we think he lives. Could it be Lloyds HO?"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
Actually, hang on, Wallingford is in Oxfordhsire, isn't it? Why is the bank's address Manchester if the branch is in Wallingford?
There is a man with his name on 192.com in Wallingford."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
if you've googled the sort code it may be the processing centre for that branch, rather than the branch address.Little Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

OK, I think my man in Wallingford is him. I have a name and address. Do I just ask my son to front up to the counter at the local police station or can it be done on the phone (101)?"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

The Police do take this kind of thing seriously. I have several friends in the Sheffield area. A girl there was arrested and charged last year over a similar scam with tickets for Leeds festival.0

It isn't.
Entrapment is someone in a position of authority inducing someone to commit a offence (which the suggestion wasn't doing) and isn't a crime in itself anyway.

From my experiences with the 101 number I would say he would be much better taking copies of all the infomation and messages and visiting the local police station.0

If you've got the name, address account number and sort code I would be tempted to make a few charity donations in his name.
The law won't do much and you'll never see this £100 back.
Its time for street justice

I think it is more likely to cause the guy some mild inconvenience rather than act as any form of punishment.. all he would have to do is call the bank to get a refund.
Not really worth the OP committing an illegal act for.0
