If yuou use the next size up for the initial tile drilling, then use the size down for the wall, you avoid the problem of the wall plug expanding and cracking the tile.
Or drill the wall behind to the depth of the wall plug and push it past the tiles again to avoid cracking the tile.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Well I guess I differ from everyone else here then.
I would say use miniature diamond core drills on just about any type of tile. They are available in all sizes from say 5mm, ok for the smallest rawlplug, to over 28mm for pipes etc.
Someone will pop a link up for you.
They aren't that expensive, check out ebay, maybe less than £2 for the smaller sizes, but the point is there is no risk of cracking or loosening a tile.
Overkill on softer ceramic tiles, but so what.
Use in a non hammer battery or mains drill, when once through the tile recert to whatever drill the substrate needs;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0
