We went by car to Disneyland Paris, it cost 2x tanks of diesel and £120 on the tunnel/ferry. So probably £220 with about 1000miles of driving.

I would look at alternative options.

Doesn't that sort of depend on where you're setting out from ;)
Unless everyone is going to start from your house? put the kettle on and get in extra milk and biscuits :)

For the record, Disney is about 160 miles from Calais

That's where website the figure came from peachyprice - but i cant remember what menu she said she looked at :)

We have disney transfers. They said allow 3 hours as your not guaranteed a seat on the return journey (Coaches go every half hour i think they said so if we didnt get the first one, we would be at the front of the queue for the second one) if that makes sense!

    The two flights are:

    15:25 (Leave disney at 12:25)

    20:45 (Leave disey at 17:45)

I asked whether Disney would allow us to keep the room on so that we could get the kids to have a nap in the afternoon but they said i need to ask on the day whether they can do this and there are no guarantees :(

It's 428 miles from my house to Disney. 7 hours and a half hours each way with 3 kids in the car..... rather not :)

EDIT: It was the hotels own restaurant the price was done on! will look for a alternatives for food

    That means no

So if you catch the 12.25 flight you couldn't really go the the park at all, just a lazy breakfast, a stroll through Downtown Disney then leave.

TBH, if you're going to go back to the hotel in the afternoon for a nap there's no point staying, you may as well get the earlier flight.

How many days are you there? is losing the last day going to make much difference?

  • I was planning on letting the kids sleep for an hour in the afternoon whilst we finished packing.

We are there for 4 nights/5 days

I would take the later flight. If the children are tired they will sleep on the plane. If they have a lie in the next day, they will soon catch-up.

They won't let you leave all your stuff in the room unpacked without paying for an extra day, the best the might to is give you a room you can use to freshen up and to leave your packed luggage in

Take the later flight: why waste an important chunk of your holiday?

And don't mess about with shuttle buses: there are regular high-speed trains linking Euro-Disney with CDG airport. The journey takes all of 11 minutes:
