Suggest you: a) post on the Thomson thread; b) ask the airline directly.0

thanks vauban, do you mean thomson thread on here? didnt realise they answer questions on here0

No, Thomson don't answer on here, but other users may be able to help based on their experience.
As a side note, I think TOM2468 was only delayed by about an hour, in which case compensation wouldn't be due.0 -
thank you cobybenson. i was not on flight 2468so not looking for compensation. it actually landed in arreciffe around 16.30 i watched it land.
i was just trying to find out the reason it was late landing0 -
thanks vauban i took your advice and found out flight 2468 it was a technical fault. thomson will not disclose what the technical fault was.Suggest you: a) post on the Thomson thread; b) ask the airline directly.
the reason i asked was i was on the return flight tom 2469 which was delayed almost 28 hrs the reason given a technical problem. 'the aircraft due to operate your flight suffered a technical problem before its departure from lanzarote, spares and engineering assistance were required from the uk. resulting in the crew exceeding their legally permitted working hours. the flight was operated at the earliest opportunity the following day'
the flight was due to leave 22 august 1635
it actually departed 23 august around 2025
so how do i find out if it is actually exceptional circumstances if thomson wont release the information.
it was a fiasco there was very poor communication between thomson and their reps.0 -

The actual wording they will use is extraordinary circumstances but post on the Thomson thread. I wouldn't worry what the technical problems were - with that length of delay you are due the compensation so ask them to pay immediately or sort them out in Court.0 -
