Complaint Letter

I’m wondering if anyone complained to Virgin Media regarding their ridiculous speed and wifi weakness?
We currently on their 100mb line and the wifi is really poor and the speed is terrible too… we been collating the speed test for the last month, and going to pen a letter to them… just wondering if anyone has any experience in penning a complaint letter?
What is the best route to take?

No ISP guarantees WiFi speeds. Come to that they don't guarantee anything. If you want to make effective use of 120Mbps then run CAT5e cable.0

The speed via WiFi is understandable… but the signal strength from the SuperHub, can something be said about that??0

The Superhub 1 is known to have poor Wifi. You could try complaining over the phone to retentions (thinking of leaving option) and try to get a Superhub 2 instead. Alternately put the SH1 into modem mode and buy your own router.
I suspect any letter of complaint you may write will get very little result. Calling retentions may get a result - especially if you are past the contract minimum term and free to leave without penalty.0 -
We just be upgraded to the new version of the superhub (part 2)
And we on the 120mb line now...0 -
The Superhub 2 doesn't get many compaints that I've noticed - most people say it's far better than the SH1. Maybe it's the construction of your walls or the position of the SH2 that is causing the poor range.0

If you want to write them a letter, by all means do so. The quicker (and cheaper) option is simply to ring them and report what you deem to be a fault.
However, your collated speed tests are a waste of time since speed over a Wi-Fi connection is not guaranteed by any provider.
Another alternative is to use your Superhub in modem mode and connect Homeplugs to it via ethernet. Depending on the condition of your electrical wiring, you should get a far more stable connection that way.0 -
