What are the best Radiators to buy

Hi we have had issues today,radiator decided to spring a leak along the bottom seam.
I have no idea what to buy to replace it,i mean what do i need to look for,eg trade name,etc etc.
The plumber will be fitting it for me,i have not got a clue !!

I would avoid Quinn, especially if purchased from Wickes, a very bad combination of graded 2nds and Wickes' poor handling. That is unless you want poor quality paint work and scratches.0

Have a look at Screwfix for some basic examples.
Aluminium radiators can be more efficient. Generally aim for ones which hold less water.
We used Apollo Modena a few years ago which seem rather good.0 -
Stelrad radiators were all recommended by the gas engineers who provided quotes for me when I had a new CH system put in.
Even subsequent plumbers and gas engineers who have done additional work since have commented that Stelrad are very good radiators.Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0 -
Purmo seem to be used quite a lot round our way.Herman - MP for all!0
