Tickets not recd by buyer

in Ebay, auctions, car boot sales, post & parcels
Sold tickets for V festival and posted special delivery.

Buyer said all I have sent is a receipt not the actual tickets but didnt raise a complaint until after the event had finished.

We are still in the discussion stages but surely if she had a problem, she needed to say before the event - not after it.

    What is the tiem frame here and what tracking and proof of delivery do you have?

    I sent it on the day the event started special delivery and she agrees she received it at 10.30am but is saying it was just a receipt not tickets

    What did you send?

    Was it closed securely?

    Was there any sign the envelope had been tampered with?
    Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
    Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

    she didnt mention anything, just said all I posted was the receipt.

    She didnt tell me this though until after the event had taken place which seems odd

    Seems very odd, as surely she would have contacted you asap to see if you made a mistake??

    Was there a serial number on the tickets and can you find out if they were used?

    Sounds like she is trying it on.

    If you have her name maybe check her facebook posts and see if any mentioned enjoying v fest etc and screen shoot them
    Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked

    Tell her you will make a full investigation and are waiting until after the bank holiday to hear back from the organisers to see if the tickets were used. Explain that you are sorry but are hopeful of sorting it out quickly.

    I think the OP needs to confirm whether the tickets were sold on StubHub or eBay - and when.

    If concert tickets were sold on eBay after May, then eBay may well take a dim view of the listing.

    If sold on StubHub, then the buyers and sellers shouldn't even be contacting each other.

    They were sold on ebay not stub hub. Will that make a difference?

    Thanks for the ideas so far. Will check the tickets and fbk etc
