Hi, I'm trying to install the drivers for my printer and it's asking me to plug in from my printer to usb port but nothing is happening once this is done and it stays on this screen:

Could any of you offer me some help please, I'm not sure whats happening as I have just bought a brand new wire.

edit: Also, when I search for a device it doesn't find my printer even though the wires are connected

Yes I've just tried it with my mouse. It's working from the USB port and has automatically found and installed the device

There are still problems when I plug the printer wire in. It won't automatically detect the device, nor will it go past that screen.

I have 3 USB ports. Each time I've tried the printer wire and launched the installation process, it goes no further than that screen.

And no problem, thanks for your help I appreciate it
