My daughter recently received a PCN from UK CPS ltd when parking on a private road with no parking restrictions. Reading other posts regarding the company I am of a mind to completely ignore the PCN. Any advice would be appreciated.

No date.
No information if it was a windscreen ticket, letter through post,or both.
No indication of street in question.
Are you sure there are no restriction notices?
Advice? Give us some more information if you want help., but if the other threads have advised ignore and you are comfortable with that and the letters that will follow0 -
The "ticket" has a date and time and states "without a valid permit or authority" and according to my daughter there were no observable signs on the road in Lincoln. She will double check when she is next in the area. It is also a £100 charge or £60 if paid and received by UK CPS within 14 days. It is definitely not an official fine.0

Ticket on the windscreen?
Wait until the Notice to Keeper arrives, keeping an eye on the number of days to see if it arrives correctly (between 28 and 56 days I think). Then do a soft-appeal to the PPC [which will most likely be rejected] then hit POPLA with a strong appeal.0 -
The point is that with private parking tickets the date and time of the initial ticket and any follow ups is important.
So please answer the questions if you want help.
1. Was the ticket left on the windscreen?
2. If so, what was the date?
3. Has she received any letter from the PPC through the post and if so what was the date?
If you don't answer that, then I can't advise further.0 -

Ooops, you've been reading old threads then. Waste of time reading old stuff, sorry, especially when the current advice is on the forum right now...on every thread!
Please answer Guy's Dad's queries and read up on the current advice, on current threads, which is to appeal and take the matter to POPLA. Please don't just stay on this thread, click once back to the main parking forum first page and read at the very least, every thread on the first two pages.
You'll soon realise the previous threads you read saying 'ignore' had old advice.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Apologies it was left on windscreen and dated 19 August. No letters through post yet0

Same advice then as you will read on other current threads (page one onwards). Read other threads while you wait (not old ones, and not just about UKCPS):

And complain to whoever contracted UKCPS there. Is the private road connected to a retail car park? If so then complain to the Retail Store Manager. Harder to do if it was just a piece of waste land of course, or a private block of flats or summat...but certainly complain to the Manager onsite if it was a case of your daughter being a 'customer' of any description.PRIVATE 'PCN'? And don't contact contact the PPC until you have received the Notice to Keeper. Come back then for more help.
Please read up on a few threads and you will see that it is important to follow the sequence that we advise.0 -
Thanks for your advice and following up on my previous. My daughter decided to pay the UKCPS charge she received on 19 August and we thought that was the last of the matter. Today A letter arrives from them with notification of another charge for parking in the same place on 8th August. I rang UKCPS to find out what it was for and they informed me that there were 3 charges that needed to be paid one for 8th, one for 9th and one for 19th August all for the same place and reason.
I told them that the other two notices had not been seen on or around the vehicle and therefore they were not going to be paid. The lady from UKPCS said that they had photographic evidence she would email to me and that as the original charge had not been received they would reduce the other two to £60. I asked for sight of this photographic evidence and as I have now had a letter for the 8th August one I would appreciate some advice as to what to do next.
I have sent my daughter off to get photographic evidence that there is no signs around (I think she parked on wasteland) but what else do we need to do?

No point in giving you any more advice. We advised what to do already and you chose to pay and this is what happens.
Now you have paid once, they will guess that if they threaten court, you will cough up again.0
