in Water bills
I just wanted to install a new shower but could not as water pressure in the flat is 0.5 bar. Could someone please tell me what the law requires from my local housing association and Scottish water?

Must have 7 metres of head (0.7 bar) in the commication pipe serving the premises...that's usually at street level. If your bathroom is 2 metres above street level then it will fall below 0.5 bar but that is fine.:footie:

If you are in a housing association/ council flat are you sure you don't need their permission? Have they got a bathroom replacement scheme for example?Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Some do require permission to put your own shower in.
Most councils don't put showers in themselves when the bathrooms get refurbished and tend to stick with baths. There are exceptions to this for people with various needs who can't use baths.0 -
