    We have a 7kg washer, and a 7kg dryer.

    I don't think there is a 7kg washer/dryer that can match it..

I have a tiny kitchen, so have to have a washer/drier as there isn't the space for two machines. I've got an AEG, which is pretty good. Coming up to 7 years old now. Good at washing, OK at drying. Developed a fault after 4 years. I phoned the service dept and had to take out a service contract, which was about £140 for the years. They came out 3 times and replaced various parts before they fixed the fault. I cancelled the service contract after the year was up. If it goes wrong again, I will replace it.
