  • declaring nsd no 7 not quite half way through the month and more than half way to target - will rethink for next month.
  • Morning all.

Today is pub lunch Friday at work so will definitely be a spend day. Hoping I do better over the weekend than I have this week!
  • Many apologies but my intended NSD for today was scuppered by coffee treat for me and my direct report this morning before work. We have had a pretty stressful and busy week and it was much needed. Tomorrow will be spendy as I'm at the races but I'll be back on track on Sunday!

I am shaking and almost weeping in the way that relief hits you when it's unexpected. I have had a PPI offer which will enable me to pay off my credit cards. Meaning I will be a lot better off each month 18mths earlier than expected. It's taken 12mths to get here and in that time I paid off half my credit card debt and closed 2 down. I can't believe it!

NSD 13 here and aiming for a NSD weekend too - despite all of the above, still no pennies and certainly not splashing out with a celebration spend - no way!

Fedup - brilliant news! And very wise to wait until you actually get the money in your hot little hand and pay off the debts before going out spending - don't wish to depress you but I got a PPI offer of £11000 several months ago which still hasn't materialised. Maybe something to do with the fact that as soon as I put my claim in the bank concerned suddenly decided to sell off my debt to a third party? Annoying, but as any PPI windfalls like that have to go straight into our IVA, and our IVA company has all the details and has written to the bank concerned, I am resigned to not seeing any of the cash.

Hope the organisation in your case plays fair with your claim. At least you have shown you can repay debts with a bit of hard work and determination - and the support of the NSD gang, of course!

And talking of NSDs - (have you cleaned Boris's soup out of the Cauldron of Doom yet, Igor? And found a home for those manky underpants of yours?) I have another NSD to add to the Cauldron making my tally 4 NSDs - but the naughty, naughty compoota won't for some reason let me update my signature so you'll just have to take my word for it. And a Nargle's word is unbreakable.
Like these cakes of yours, Igor, what on earth did you put in them? Ah, they're called rock cakes.....no need to explain further (chucking said rock cake at Igor. It bounces off his head, ricochets out of the window across the lawns of Ennessdee Towers, narrowly missing Boris who, with incredible agility mounts Hubert - now, now, you filthy-minded creatures! -- and goes galloping off in the distance screaming "the enemy is coming, run for your lives!"
Oh well, I suppose that will be the last of endless soup meals for a while.....:T)
One life - your life - live it!
  • Hi Folks:),

I hope you are all enjoying a lazy friday and meandering toward the weekend:). It has been a busy enough day for me today, as I went to 6.45am spin:eek:, did some shopping this morning for groceries and called into my favourite shop for some half price peppers, chicken, spring onions and a sandwich for lunch;). I have made some spanish chicken and an indian style vegetable curry, although will have to tidy the kitchen shortly:eek:.
I don't have any major plans for tonight, although will have a glass or 2 of red:).
Fedup, I hope you get the money from the ppi claim and sort out the credit card debts.
Nargle, I hope you also get yours eventually, although companies do make me laugh, as when we owe them money, they threaten everything just up to but short of death to get the money out of us:mad:
Its good to see that spoony has made a reappearance and also good to see If back again:T. I hope you are both well.
I also hope that everyone else is well. I must go and clean this kitchen. If I wasn't so careful with money, I'd consider getting a cleaner;).
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

    £2 savings jar £300:D
Total credit card debts £1250:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: - Will I ever learn!!

Oh dear, sorry to hear that nargle.

That won't happen here as that particular debt is paid off and it's my bank so everything should be in order fingers crossed.

  • That's great news sazzie - looking forward to your celebrations when you get it

    # 6 /15 today. Definitely spending tomorrow - night out with my sisters and need to buy a baby gift & card too. And since I'm spending, I might as well buy my euros for my holidays on Thursday :j :j
