Avoid the butter beer though as it is disgusting and undrinkable.
Only for those who have a appreciation of the finer things in life.
I liked it.There are lots of members of staff around to talk to
And at least one , was an extra in three of the movies.0 -
Is it worth the £29 admission? The OH and I really want to go but have a real problem parting with so much money for tickets!!
We're fans of the books and films anyway but our friend worked on all 8 of the films and the studio tour so we're interested in seeing some of his handiwork in the flesh!Dry January: 31/31 days. :T0 -

And how can you remain 'fans' if you fail to go??
We had a thread last year about the cost, yes its expensive. But you can spend as long as you like . Compared to ... Alton Towers etc where you spend 90% of the time queuing it is very cheap.
You come to one exhibit and there is a small crowd ..... pass on it and return later.0 -
We went Wednesday of last week, me, my husband 2 6 year olds and my mum who was 65. We had a lovely day. Spent about 6 hours in there. The kids enjoyed it even though they have only seen the first couple of films (others are too dark and scary IMHO!) mum enjoyed it as she is a fan. Husband spent the day moaning about the cost, we spent £29 on 5 photos (us riding broomsticks and in the ford Anglian) and he moaned about lunch being £22 for 3 hotdogs, 3 Capri suns and 2 cheese sandwiches!!! But that's him all over!!
I loved the taste of the butter beer which was £2.95 for a plastic cup, 4.95 for a beaker and the 6.95 for a tankard.
Shop was expensive but then I always expect that.0 -
Should I be tempted to try the butter beer!!!0

My 22 yr old daughter, 15 yr old son and I are going in October and cant wait, were all lovers of Harry Potter, I dont think the tickets are too badly priced compared to some theme parks but a little bit peeved the hard copy of a guide is £10. We are thinking of taking a picnic/packed lunch just to save a bit of money.***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0

We went last year without the audio tour and loved it - definitely worth the price. My daughter would love to go again in fact.
I really enjoyed the butter beer but my husband and daughter didn't like it at all, which surprised us as they usually like sweet drinks more than me.
ETA: I'd definitely go with the picnic idea, karenccs67 - the food is definitely not worth the price!0
