Returning a faulty out of apple warranty iPhone

Believe me Wealdroam, I'm not doing anything to these phones, and apple themselves said this was a known fault with their handsets. Thanks for your comment though.0

Sorry to hear this has happened again, Sagar. I had a similar thing happen with a MacBook Pro. Feel free to mention to the Genius that this issue is costing you both time and money, and suggest some moderate compensation in the way of goods from the Apple Store. I did this when I had a problem with an iPhone, and ended up with a new case.
Also, if you hang in there, you may find they give you a different model of phone entirely, as happened to me with my MacBook Pro. I ended up with the most recent model they had after numerous repairs had failed. Who knows, you may end up with a 5C in your hands. This would necessitate a new SIM card though, and if you have a lot of iPhone accessories you'd need the Lightning to 30-pin adapter, so if possible mention this additional inconvenience to them at the time, and you may get the latter thrown in, as it costs £25.
Good luck.0 -
Thank you SidP, that's really encouraging and I am pretty fed up as you can tell! Right now i don't ever want to see an iPhone ever again, but I will try as you say and see if they can make apples taste sweet to me again. I rather suspect I've seen the serpent for what it is, though...0

But someone has to get the lemon. All you can hope is that the company will deal straight with you when it happens. It looks as though Apple have done well by you so far, so I'd be inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt.
How have things turned out now, five days later?0
