Nice to get feedback on your thread and holiday.
I live 30 minutes from the Tunnel and about 40 minutes from the Channel Ports so we go for day trips and short breaks 6 or 7 times a year.
We find the passport checks to be very random. On the English control I notice that the passports are nearly always scanned and names of children called out. On the French control merely showing the UK passports means we are waved through - I would say this happens 8 out of 10 times).The man without a signature.0
