So is someone trying to scam my address? Or is it a GG ploy?0

Giffgaff users get bonuses towards their account for enrolling friends and family. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

It does. If so, a very optimistic scammer! However it costs the scammer nothing to try.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

My parents once had some random girls apply for a provisional driving license under their address!! They have lived there 40+ years and the only owners since it was a custom built. They were going to try and pass the envelope onto the correct owner till my sister pointed out that its not just a number or road thats wrong the entire address was definitely ours and had our house name on it eventhough the addressee name was not one we recognized. We rang dmv who didnt really seem fussed so we destoryed the card and then a few months later we got sent another one exactly the same. Cut it up and sent it to dmv...still dont know if it ever got investigated or dealt with :S But yeah...scammers are creepy and weird.0

I don't need to fork out for a stamp though, just put it in the nearest postbox with return to sender scribbled on the front.0 -
Why? Why are you so desperate to send it back?
Bin it, or leave it on a train for someone else.0 -

I live here on my own, the person who was named on the envelope has no asscoiation with my address, the name of my road is similar to two others around here, but in the past I have recieved incorrect mail for the other houses a few times in the past, what alerted me then was the one time the guy came up asking if a parcel had been recieved for his wife, I started to suspect that they were using my address knowing that I would pass on the correspondance.
Also my daughter's Mum's neighbour had recieved a credit card statement and it nearly caused a divorce in the nieghbours house, what had happened was that they had moved and the new occupants to the old house had some mail and applied for a credit card which they did and as it happened were paying the statements, it was the one day the local postie noticed the name and delivered the statement to the correct named person.
So it is wise to be wary, and it's no big deal to pop it back in a post box, no worse than popping it in a bin, there is a post box at the supermarket and I was going there anyway.0
