Is it legal to record telephone calls with a minor (although your own child)??

My solicitor can not advise me on this because I can no longer afford legal fees. And Google is confusing me on this one, so I wondered if any of you lovely people on here may know. Is it legal to record telephone calls with young children that you are a parent of? And can you then use these phone calls in a court of law?…

Honestly if he says, 'Do you want to speak to me tomorrow?' My response would be something like, you will be speaking to daddy on .....(the day after) as we already agreed.

Do you use the phone on speaker phone? I always do, mostly because I hate having a phone to my ear, but when my daughter was little, she used to play etc when on the phone.
