Whats the longest you have left your cat alone?

I have left mine alone overnight and for 2 nights on occasions. I always make sure they have plenty of biscuits down if nobody can come over to feed them and a few bowls of water. I have a cat flap so they have more freedom than yours but one will only use the litter tray and it's never been a problem it not being cleaned out for a few uses.
They're definitely safer inside than outside.0 -

Another vote for this, I'd be prepared to leave my Eric like this. He loves being outside but also loves his creature comforts especially at night.0 -
I'd leave inside only.
Plenty of water dishes in different rooms and plenty of dry food. Couple of litter trays. I often had to leave mine when I worked so they got used to it.
Any more than 48 hours and I'd get a friend to come and house sit.
I wouldn't leave my cats outside in case they got mixed up with a fox, dog or unfriendly human and would have nowhere safe to run to. Plus they are too soft to be out in rain for any length of time.
My neighbours cats are a different matter. They live in her garage with the door propped open so they can come & go as they please. She just leaves the food & water in the garage. No need for litter.
My neighbours cats are much hardier than mine. When you pick them up they are absolutely solid. Whereas mine are soft and malleable if you know what I mean.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Is an actual reaction to my posts, so please don't rely on anything I say.0 -
OK so this is a bad story but it might put your mind at rest. I often go away for weekends and a friend feeds the cat. Once I was away for four days, left clean litter, a bit of food, plenty water. The friend forgot to come and feed the cat. It was over New Year and she was busy but she still to this day cannot say how she forgot.
The cat was fine.0 -
Two days with lots of fresh water, clean litter and mountains of dry food. I wouldn't leave them any longer than two and would get someone to check in if it was.0

We leave our cat inside overnight with clean litter, his food on a timer and fresh water. I wouldn't leave him any more than 2 nights though and not outside (but he never sleeps out at night anyway so he would be confused by it)0

I have left mine for a few days. I just left them come and go as they usually do through the catflap. I never really thought of keeping him in at the time as he would go crazy not beable to roam about as he normally did. He was fine. Lots of food and water down. I would never of left him outside though without beable to get in.0
