Are you sure you don't have any family?
You posted the above at 01:38 this morning but in this thread that you started at 02:39 this morning you're asking about sharing a flat with your sister.
Yes, I meant that I have no other family that I can call/anything to support me in this particular matter (financially, medically, etc). I'll edit it to make more sense. My sister is younger than me and in the same financial situation as me, also. I do have a big family, most of whom I have no contact with - the few family members I do have contact with are in no position to help me.0 -
I left my job (lied to them because I didn't want to seem weak) because of anxiety. Whilst I was there I was ostracized for rapidly going crazy (due to EXTREME anxiety) and had to leave for many reasons to do with this.
I can't sign on because I'm TOO ANXIOUS to go to the Jobcentre, and I'm destitute and always starving because I have no money, and when I do scrape together some money from the pits of reality, I'm too anxious to go to the shop and buy food.
I'm sorry but things don't add up (at least to me).
The above is from this thread but the quote below is from your other thread (posted earlier this morning):We would both be getting DSS and JSA (for now), so we would have enough for the rent whilst we move on and so on.
Was your comment about being too anxious to sign on for JSA one of your 'exaggerations'.
If you gave up your job (as above), I doubt if you will be eligible for JSA immediately.
And you need to be actively seeking work which isn't what you say here:My point was that I wanted to get enough benefits to rent a bedsit, where I would get a monthly internet connection and do some work online to build up a sizable income, with which I would eventually fund my treatment and leave benefits ASAP.0 -

After I posted in this thread here, I got a few responses all of which were very helpful. As has been mentioned I would not be able to get PIP.
So as a result of this thread and a little research online (relating to this thread) I realised that my previous idea of renting a bedsit etc and claiming disability was not possible.
Which brought me to make the second thread - I made the second thread after realising that my initial idea/plan (as mentioned in this thread here) wasn't going to work.
As you can see I'm looking for the best option possible - I literally cannot do anything but starve or work on this, which is what I'm doing - hence my ideas changing as I learn more.
In short, I learned that there is not much help there for me, that I will have to fight through the extreme anxiety (which is very real) and claim JSA (or ESA). Because now I have realised that it is my ONLY option - I didn't know this before.
Thanks for the helpful responses!0 -
OK.
Have you decided which route to go down?
JSA or ESA?
This link may give you a bit more info re ESA:
https://www.gov.uk/employment-support-allowance/overview
It also gives a form that will need to be filled in, it might be worth you taking a look at that.0 -
I think the OP is suffering from Type 1 Relative Oral Lethargic Lymphoma and should seek help immediately!!0

I'm going to apply for ESA, because I'm definite that I need it - it will give me some of the help I need in the meantime. No way is this me subscribing to a life on benefits as has - this is for as short as possible.I know that I won't be on it long... thanks for the help.

Nope. I was just purposely being dramatic and exaggerating so people didn't underestimate the severity of the situation - severe anxiety due to my face, which prevents me going out to the point I don't eat much and barely ever go out, which when I do causes suffering both mentally and physically.
This is what I mean - NO-ONE can understand until they've been in the same situation. I don't know how other people cope with it, but imagine - you're living, looking normal for all of your life then all of a sudden you damage YOUR FACE and rapidly turn from normal looking to someone who, no matter where you go and no matter how much you try to ignore it, people will react to the way you look, comment about it and some seemingly look upset (even if they try to hide it and be nice) and you can't act it away, nothing. Everyone that ever knew you before notices it and so on and so forth.
But that's life - you just have to deal with it (which is more difficult than you say, no matter what you think)!0 -

Hmmmm.
You can capitalise and tell us all how much you 'need' benefits but that doesn't mean you are entitled to them.0 -
OP, while I do feel for you with your disfigurement you make it sound as if you are the only one who has ever been through this. Katie piper had acid thrown in her face and Simon Weston received 46% burns in the falklands but live a normal life. You need the to summon up the strength as they did and go to see your gp.0
