Ladies who plop...

LOL

Those with curly hair may understand the title!!

I 'plopped' my curls for the first time today and may well be a convert, curls bounced down when I removed the towel and despite not using any products (dying my hair first thing in the morning) it's bouncy, the curls have retained their shape and it's relatively frizz free!

I do have a bit of fluff on top though and my hair doesn't seem as shiny.I also usually drip dry.

Does anyone else get a bit of halo fluff and relative dullness or is it just due to change in method and lack of products?(Although products don't usually make much difference with shine).I did fiddle with it a bit while it finished drying too..

    I plop. :).

Plop doesn't effect shine, frizz and condition and product might. So if you fiddled you might have made very minor frizz that's minimising shine by breaking up the curl, or it could be the product change or maybe your hair jump at needs spoiling. :). Sounds likely if you have some halo fluff that its product up issue IMO.

Keep your fingers out of your hair!;)

No I don't, but I do have wavy hair should I do?

now off to google what 'plop' is :D
  • I've tried it, but found the result a little too wild! Very little frizz, but my hair did seem duller than usual, it didn't look finished. I went back to using the diffuser ;)

You know it's hard not to play lol

It probably is lack of product then, combined with having been wearing my hair up too much.I don't have much time on it so often (very naughty) drip dry it in a ponytail:o which does tend to ruin the top a bit,I think.Hence trying to keep it down now and plopping it.

Will see how it goes in the morning!

You know you're going to have to provide a plopping link for the clueless amongst us, don't you?

    I haven't used a diffuser for years.Maybe I should start again!!!

Hmm,wonder if towel use (did use microfiber though) can dull the hair?

I played the other day and ended up with a curl way stretched compared to the rest, it looked really odd. Its a shame because I had a photo taken ( vvery rarely do that) and it was nice (even more rare) apart from the stretched curl I'd made dry with nervous fiddling.

Might have been the ponies. The ponies leave shorter bits growing through. ' without their curl' to lock into I find and then they tend to get drier over time than the rest.

I do this all the time too....though I bun rather than pony, and if I have been neglecting it I get halo then.

I like wild. How curly are you? I'me really curly but i find the diffuser gives me the the wildest results because i can really control the tightness of the spring and get the curl tight and high and .

I find a diffuser every time too drying and damaging though, and frankly, takes up too much of my time:o. It takes a long time to dry my hair with a low diffuser.....say forty five minutes. Plopping takes no time, so lone as I am not going out!

I use a t shirt. I don't have a microfibre towel so cannot tell you. A normal towel does dull my hair though.
