To all,
Thank you for your support and advice! I will keep you posted!
To Lee,
I received the pieces of paper with random figures on that you claim is a statement, anyone could have drawn this up in Microsoft word/excel and is not in any way shape or form a statement, it does not show any phone numbers/ dates at all it just literally has random VAT figures and pound signs.
Secondly, I was told to wait for the "deadlock letter" that you promised would be sent, this as never arrived. I have no other alternative now,
See you in court Vodafone.0 -
I look forward to seeing what a judge thinks of the fraudulent statements.Still rolling rolling rolling......

I am not surprised at their actions. Vodafone also made up fictional charges when I terminated my account. (Having been a customer for over ten years) I was forced to pay as the default they had added to my credit record while the matter was in dispute was blocking a mortgage application I had at the time.
I later tried to go through their formal complaints procedure prior to taking the case to the financial ombudsman but I was unable to even do that they were miraculously 'unable to trace my account'.
This being a few years ago and the only blot on my record it has no impact on me now so I have drawn a line under it.0 -
Come on Vodafone, i'm sure you can find it in your hearts to scrap any amount that may or may not be owed.
I mean, you've got billions of unpaid tax pounds sloshing around, not like this amounts going to force you into bankruptcy, is it?0 -

Not only has this put me off ever returning to them, I'll now be keeping a close eye for any messing around against my closed acct. I am shocked that they would tolerate harassment by their debt collectors. Surely the amount of potential loss of business for dealing with it like this would be more than the fictitious bill?

Yes, but that isnt the point. How would you like to be sent to prison for a crime you didnt commit, when the prosecution cant even produce credible evidence and your whole life is turned upside down for 6 years until you have served your 'sentence'. It is just terrible.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it
