For you FC....
As i've said before, my DS defo shows similarities to yours, but not to the same degree. My DS has just started college and STILL can't do his laces to any kind of success lasting more than 30 seconds of wear. Anyway, I always keep pairs of the slidy thingies that are often found on umbro type joggers, or maybe the sides of fleeces/jackets. These along with either normal laces/or elastic that I also recycle from the above items has been a god send over the last few years and still is! In fact my DS new college boots are being held on by the elastic and sliders he no longer wanted at the bottom of his 3/4 joggers at the weekend. :rotfl:
May not be suitable for your DS just now, but something to think about or maybe try with some other shoes to start off with. x
Thank you Elsie :A That is very helpful :T It's getting more and more difficult to get suitable footwear as his feet get bigger! Add to that the lack of sensory feedback which affects his balance and co-ordination meaning they can't be too heavy either
Likewise trousers. He struggles with buttons and zips and has no bum on him to hold the bleeding things up
Im trying not to even think how he's going to manage with school shirts:eek: No amount of practicing is making the buttons easy for him
