I am sooo disappointed I was too late for our boy tonight Mildred. I need my dose of Dottiness now and again. ;)

I hope he can join us on a night shift soon. We will have a lot of making up to do. :D

Having fallen rather heavily of the 5:2 wagon while I was cruising up the Douro, I am now back on the plan and have lost most of the 3lbs that went on (probably more to do with the wine lake I was drinking -well , it was all included and they kept bringing more bottles out so it would have been rude to refuse - than the lovely food.

Anyway, I had a blood test done before I went and the Doc just phoned me to chat about the results - apparently my cholesterol has dropped from 5.8 to 5.4 and most of that is 'good' cholesterol. He's well pleased and so am I. Also my thyroid levels are much better as well. The only downside is that nearly all my trousers are too big round the waist and I'm having trouble finding any that fit to take to Germany later this month ! I'm planning on sewing a small tuck in each side of the waist bands if I do it where the side pockets are I don't think it will show. I refuse to buy any new ones as some of the ones I've got still have the labels on them.

I hope everyone else in the 5:2 club is still doing well.

    Well done you :T:T

tweets sorry your having a crap time at work :( but know how you feel hubby works for a university and there having major changes , the women that work there were told yesterday they have to start at 6, they now start at 9, some have kiddies to get to school and its a case of like it or leave.
The changes have been filtering through for about 2 years and we have not known if his job is safe :(
They changed him from 9am start to 7am which is ok apart from the winter as i can take him, but not fetch him cause im at work, he rides a bike so cant ride that in ice and snow :(
I spoke to him earlier and he was going for a meeting so will perhaps get an ear bashing when he gets home:rotfl:

I cant understand why they have to keep swopping some kitchen workers around and leaving others. What annoys me is all the schools in my vicinity and they tell me to go to one that is one and half miles away  Ok in summer but in winter or when its raining not nice :(

That's same in my job like it or leave . I know people who have left and they couldn't care diddly squat. I don't have anyone to moan at only you lot :p or Poppy.

I have text DS but no reply yet he will be in work. :)

Hope your hubby job is safe I know how he feels and so do many on this thread .

Going starting my tea BNI curry with veg. I felt hungry and realised all I have had since I got up is :coffee:

    Afternoon Elite....

Had a busy couple of days, and was DS's first day of college yesterday. Nothing seems to be easily sorted, and no info on what grant he was given till this week so it's been mad rush for bus pass info and application, uniform info, and putting in appeal for uniform grant. He was given £50 for 'equipment' like many others at college, but his uniform alone is £92 as a discounted package where many students don't even need a uniform. On top of this he needs sturdy boots and outdoor equipment. My tax credits have taken a battering at the same time, and i'm still waiting to hear from them whether I will get what I think I should be getting!

Just been trying to catch up with you chatty lot. I've managed the last couple of hours worth of posts, but i've just gone back to yesterday morning to see if I can hunt out any of your good lists. :D

PS... Thanks to all who voted for my friends charity to win a £500 grant, as soon as they know if they have got it I will let you know.

i`ve had a mare with the android app but it seems to be working now apart from the camera which refuses to take a clear photo on any device.i`ve had the same email from msl about photos not being clear but they will pay me but have only recived one of the three i put in on friday so far.terri seems v.helpful there so will contact her again if not through in a week or so.

many thanks for your help, this is just the sort of info I was after, not necessarily about the nexus phone but the android system and using these apps. Before forking out nearly 200pounds its always worthwhile finding out peoples experiences beforehand, it may be that I go for an iphone after all and spend a bit more money.
Thanks once again to those who have helped and I understand that many people will not know the answer to my query if they dont know about the android system.
