Right I better get on, I think I've spent most of today on here!
I'm currently trying to assemble a wendy house which we've lost the instructions for.
I've got 11 of pole A, 7 of pole B, 5 of pole C and 9 of pole D (or something like that) and no matter what order they go in it doesn't seem to make a house shape! :o
    Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
    Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
    Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

Mine are in the shed and now I'm too afraid and squeamish to look. :o

I am 100% certain it all started with the weetabix do you have any in there?

    Right mission accomplished. :T

I think I have confirmed to my neighbours that I am mad, hoovering out cereal boxes by my front door. :rotfl:

I kept the boxes for anything 2014 that I bought recently in the petrol coupon offer as they only had a couple mites in that had obviously come from nearby boxes so I hoovered them out. :o

Had a military operation going for anything 2013 which would have been either APG or coupon got.

Firstly discarded the boxes noting the type and BB date.
Shook and left the bag of cereal outside in the sun for 10 mins.
Brought couple in at a time and on kitchen worktop so I could see if any were coming out of bag.
Washed bag with soapy water and moved to another worktop to dry for about 20 minutes. Good job hot day.
Checked for any signs of mites before writing details on packets.

So I have not had to throw anything away so far except for weetabix. :j Going to reign in anything cereal related for quite a while. :o

It's amazing they take up so much less space not in their boxes, have all fitted into a Sainsbury Big Orange bag. :D

OMG, it sounds like we could end up in the same boat as you!
Stupid docs told Hubby they can't do tests for him until they know what to test for (biggest load of manure I've ever heard!).
This is despite Hubby ending up at A&E one morning having anti histamine and something else pumped into him through a drip to bring the reaction back down.
We've never managed to work out exactly what could be triggering it as it seems so random.
Poor Hubby is double dosing himself daily on piriton because that's all the doctors have told him to do and luckily all reactions since he started doing that have been mild.
He'd been taking a single dose of it anyway for ages as he gets hayfever but now you've mentioned it I dread to think how bad the reaction could be if he didn't take any

Sorry for waffling on, it's weird speaking to someone who seems to be in a similar situation to us :o

Dip dap - you have me WORRIED at what the docs told him to do as you can build up a resistance to antihistamines. Sounds like he's very like my hubby who also gets hayfever.

I won't let hubby take Piriton (Chlorphenamine) on a daily basis for his hayfever. Instead I get him to take Claritin (Loratadine) or Zirtec (Cetirizine Hydrochloride) or Benadryl for his hayfever. Adding some Beconase if needed too.

He NEEDS the Piriton to work - it may not if using on a daily basis and resistance to it has built up. PLEASE have a talk to a properly qualified chemist and I think he may advise you the same.

Both hubby & I have worked in the pharmaceutical field & both of us KNOW you need to keep the effective stuff for when you desperately need it. PLEASE, please talk to a qualified pharmacist - docs sometimes have NO idea on drugs - they only study them for a term or less!

Hubby also said to tell hubby he might be storing up prostate problems having piriton daily - read the crimp sheet!

Another tip that helps with hayfever is to get some local bee pollen - just use 1 grain a day initially - it helps you get a resistance.

I seem to remember a poster saying they bought baby milk in Asda which matched to Morries (same price everywhere) and gave 10% back via apg. I'm not sure if this still applies though, was last year I read it.

I had a womble with the baby milk at 9quid on it couple days back. Got £3.22 back as it made it 10% cheaper plus they had a couple of other things more expensive. Sorry i don't have receipt for barcode anymore it's been spent :)

Hopefully the loss was minimal TS.
At least you now have room to fill with something non food related and we've all learnt a valuable lesson today :D

    Afternoon folks!

I've been busy in my other garden today, we've got so much cleared but my body is screaming at me right now, so called it a day about half an hour ago.

Before and now pics coming up later, I need to go do some catching up :o

That's horrible :( I know how you feel. In 2006 my throat started swelling up when I drank some juice and I thought I was getting the flu. Then it happened again with a rash this time, especially when I used rubber gloves for washing up. My doctor was useless and told me to 'Google it' (pretty much his answer for everything, he also told me cramps were a myth but that's a whole other story altogether). I ended up talking to a friend who was studying towards a PhD in natural remedies and he figured out that I'm allergic to guava, passion fruit and latex (don't ask!). After informing my doctor of this he told me it was essentially bs and he still wouldn't do anything to help me. Luckily it hasn't been too bad for me, hay fever tablets have helped loads. I hope your GP pulls their finger out! :A
