Autogylm Window Polish. I've tried every "non smear" polish/spray going and it's the only one that works first time without using newspaper. The only downers are the price and chalky residue.

I want to know where the dirt on the inside of the windscreen comes from/ what it is as our new car needs doing at least once every 3 weeks otherwise night driving becomes a problem. The old car was probably once a month to 6 weeks.

Personally most the time simply kitchen roll works fine on ours. Occasionally spray it with glass cleaner but not normally necessary.

You can get special wipes in most petrol stations for this, they are a bit like wet wipes and only cost a couple of quid. Other than that you want to use either hot water with a tiny dash of washing up liquid in it and a squirt of lemon juice (jif lemon works well), or something like windowlene.

For the past 10 years or so, I've been using microfibre cloths, works for me. No glass cleaner required:)

Can't beat Nilglass, and make sure passengers don't "help" you by putting their greasy hands on the glass to wipe it for you. The plastics in some cars do seem to sweat a bit and even in an unused car, you find a film has built up in a few weeks.
