Tesco CC incorrect charge!

Youve been advised that the over-limit fee applies to each statement period. That's correct.bob_badger wrote: »This forum is clearly a waste of space.
You've been advised to check that they haven't removed your beneficial interest rate. This is good advice. Standard credit card T&Cs will remove beneficial rates if you break other conditions.
So you were over limit for two different statements.I fixed the over limit issue as soon as they sent the letter, so only one charge which I don't have an issue with. The first statement came out a few days after the over limit letter so the corrective payment wasn't on the statement BUT this was the first statement showing the over-limit issue.
You should have politely asked for both back.I didn't even have to ask for the refund - I didn't shout at anybody - Tesco knew that the second charge was an error.
So what, precisely, is your problem?0 -
o4u is right; you were over your credit limit for TWO different statement periods, so the TWO charges were correct.
The only mistake they've made is telling you the second fee was a mistake. What will your verse be?

Hardly his fault if he was told himself by an advisor...
Was just trying to give some advice. Even if it was maybe incorrect0 -

I think you know exactly what their problem is! They had to pay a charge, they don't like it so are seeking people to join them in a collective frothing-of-the-mouth over how evil banks are.
Then of course, they go straight back to using the banks because although they refuse to admit it, the banks are actually making their life a hell of a lot easier!Hardly his fault if he was told himself by an advisor...

Of course that isn't his fault. What is his fault however is ignoring the people who corrected the Tesco call centre worker and then ranting about how the forum is a "waste of space" because his complaint isn't entertained by others.0 -
I agree...but for different reasons than you.bob_badger wrote: »This forum is clearly a waste of space.
Sometimes I don't know why I, and others, bother!0
