Thanks all for your replies. No idea what DSR is but it appears we have missed this.
I have still not had a reply from my emails!
I spoke to Currys customer service again on Friday to find out why I havent had a response. I was told that there was a two week back log in responding to complaints. We went through the same conversation again about the fridge and the Currys employee spoke to someone from Beko while I was on hold. The Beko employee said that this model of fridge has some problems and some are just really noisy! He suggested I phoned Beko head office as they are the only ones who could authrise a refund and collection.
Phone Beko head office today and got nowhere. They quite rightly pointed out my contract under the Sale of Goods Act was with Currys and they should resolve it.
Went back to Currys again and out of the blue (after a conversation with a manager) they said that's fine we can collect the fridge and refund you!!!!!!
However after some more calls they realised it was past 28days and they couldnt do this. I have told them that I reported this problem after 2 days and asked for a refund or replacement and was told i couldnt have one. It has now been escalated (whatever this means) and an investigation will be carried out. I should have a response in a week.0 -
I phoned Curry's again today and they had no record of my call last Tuesday!!!! I told the lady that I was fed up with this and explained it all again. She went off and spoke to her manager who agreed to refund me and the fridge is being collected on Saturday!
I'm not counting my chickens yet but hopefully my persistence has paid off!:beer:0
