  • Hi All
Saw the Solicitor today and he thinks I have a good chance of getting the RO which is a relief. I have no idea if the ex would try and snatch her - he's too unstable to be able to second-guess his actions - but I don't want to be in a situation where he does something stupid and the Police won't act as he has PR. Its a surreal situation as he's a stranger to me really, yet this is the man that I loved and willingly had a child with! At least with the RO she is safe and hopefully he will one day come to his senses and want to see her, who knows.
Thanks all for your replies, support and advice - you are a great lot x

So my ex has applied for a contact order as well now, so I am at court for my residency order on the 1st Oct and his contact order hearing on the 31st Oct. I assume the court will allow him contact but supervised - which is fine by me and is what I want - I want our daughter to know who her Dad is. My question is though, how many people could my ex bring to a supervised contact visit? Could he bring as many people as he wants or is there a limit? Also, when I have checked for the contact centre in my area, the hours are 8-5 Mon-Fri. Without sounding unreasonable, I'm not going to be able to do that as I work f/t - does anyone know what happens in this situation?
    Thanks all
  • Is there anyone else who could supervise his contact - an aunt, grandma, family friend - I don't think contact has to be supervised at a contact centre specifically but I do think that there needs to be an assessment of his contact so not sure how that would come about.

Initially the contact should just be your daughter and her dad but that other significant adults can be added later.

PS It's a Residence Order not residency order
