  • How would she feel about a really fancy beauty product, say like a Chanel nail polish in a classic red? Something quite luxurious and that she might not be able to afford to buy herself. Then the rest of the money in an envelope with the card. That way you're still giving her a 'proper' present but she still has cash to spend on something else.

How about a nice diary from paperchase?
She could record her thoughts and keep the diary - then in years to come reflect on what she was like and how she has changed. Also useful for keeping track of shifts etc.

You could then put some money in 1 of the card pocket thingies on the inside of the diary?

Or - how about a photo album (say £10) and put 1 photo for each year of her life and leave the rest of the album empty. You could then give the £40 in a card and say go make some more memories to put in the album.

    an experience day?
there are many many to chose from.

My DD is 21 ten days after my twins turn 18 and as part of their gift I am looking at doing this for all 3 of them. ( esp as the three can go together)

    Experience day HERE

    Herand's Posts have disappeared.

I guess calling Double Mummy's lovely idea for an "18" box, a box of tatt was a step too far and (s)he had second thoughts.

    That's better Herand. :)
