But you do need to find somone to be your guarantor who will need to take the brunt of it if you happen to stop payments for whatever reason.

Correct me if I am wrong. Only when I mess up on my payments someone who guarantees me will have an adverse affect on their history right?

If you can't find a guarantor, let me know and I will step in as I hate seeing someone stuck for a loan.
