I wouldn't do it just to get a discount but if it was a house I liked then I would definitely live there.0

Buy it as a rental investment.
And when the tenants complain about the oven answer
" Well let me tell you what happened to the last occupants......":eek:Stop! Think. Read the small print. Trust nothing and assume that it is your responsibility. That way it rarely goes wrong.
Actively hunting down the person who invented the imaginary tenure, "share freehold"; if you can show me one I will produce my daughter's unicorn0 -
Nice loo shot.
Theres a house a few streets along where a man murdered his wife in front of their kid about 10 years ago. It always seems to be up for sale, the longest ive seen it without a sign up the front is 18 or so months so I guess people dont settle that well in it.
FWIW it wouldn't bother me living in a house with a shady past.0 -
i would live a murder house but only if there was little chance the police coming round digging up the garden after a late confession of where bodies are hid or accidentally digging one up myself0

Same. So that house I'd ask questions about the pipes!
I don't see why not, houses are houses after all. I'd have to look at the house and see what kind of vibe it gives off first. Te be honest I'd rather view the house, then tell me about it's past, so it doesn't cloud my judgement in the viewing!0 -
I would not personally, but I do know someone who bought a house where two murders took place, he got it about 50% less than the rest of the street were selling for.0
